About the Department

  • The Department of Electronics was established in the year 1990. Mathematics and  Electronics are offered in combination with Computer Science since 2007-08.

  • This course was intended to produce students competent in theory, design and applications which has a good market value and is considered as the latest trend of the job market.


    Goal
          Strive to mould young women competent with technical knowledge in Electronics and contribute to the nation’s development.

Activities

Highlights:

  • The department conducts inter-collegiate competitions named e-wave every year to bring awareness about the new technologies in the present age.
  • Organizes student summer internship training programme with EFFTRONICS Pvt.Ltd. Vijayawada.

Activities:

  • Summer Internship

The Departments of Electronics and Physics sent nine students for an internship programme of six weeks duration from April 25th 2014 to May 31st  2014 at Efftronics Systems Pvt. Ltd, Vijayawada. Dr. Little Flower and Miss Hannah Anuhya coordinated this programme.

  • A Four day workshop on “The Integration of Programming Skills and an Orientation Programme about MEAN STACK”

                             

  • The Departments of Electronics, Physics and Computer Science in collaboration with SSIT, Patamata, organized a one day workshop to impart training in sharpening programming skills in C, Java, VB.Net, C#.Net as a foundation to start a diploma course in “MEAN STACK”. Thirty interested students have decided to take up this diploma course.

Workshop on MOODLE
The Departments of Electronics, Physics and Computer Science organized a one day workshop on “Effective Usage of MOODLE in Teaching and Learning” for all science faculty members on 16/08/2014. A team from V.R.Siddhartha Engineering College, Kanuru,  conducted the workshop.

                                        

  • Inauguration of  SCIENCE INSPIRE CLUB:

The departments of Maths,Physics,Chemistry,Electronics,Computer Science and Statistics inaugurated the SCIENCE INSPIRE CLUB on 6th November,2014.
                                       

  • A one-day Workshop on PCB DESIGNING:

The Department of Electronics organized a one day workshop on “PCB designing” for all the first, second and final year Electronics students on 7th November, 2014. Mr.Tajuddin,Embedded Developer,CMOS Research Labs, Vijayawada along with his team conducted the workshop.
                   

  • Conducted an activity through Science Inspire Club on “Pros and Cons” of e-commerce on 27-11-2014.
  • Organized Inter-Collegiate Competitions “e-wave” on 28-11-2014. Competitions were held in paper presentations and poster presentations.

 

  • Summer Internship

The departments of Electronics sent four students from II B.Sc (MECs) for an internship programme of six weeks duration from April 15th, 2015 to May 31st, 2015 at Efftronics Systems Pvt.Ltd, Vijayawada.

  • Organized e-wave 2016 an Inter-Collegiate competition on 23-01-2016. Competitions were held in paper presentation and poster presentation. Students from our college and students from neighbouring colleges took part in this event.


  • Organized a talk on “Career Guidance and Opportunities” for the final year B.Sc (MECs) students on 22.2.2016.The resource person Mr.N.Mallikarjun,R&D Project Manger,Efftronics Systems Pvt.Ltd,Vijayawada highlighted about the new technologies  in the market and the  various opportunities for students in the field of electronics and in higher education.

  • The Inspire and Bio clubs of the college organized a discussion on “Contribution to Society”, Physical Sciences vs. Life Sciences on 23.2.2016 on the eve of National Science Day. Students from different science departments of the college participated in this discussion highlighting the major contributions of their respective subjects to the society. The best speaker from physical science and life science were awarded prizes for the same. B.Samanvitha Chowdary of I.B.Sc (MECs) was awarded the best speaker in physical science.
