Maris Stella College library was founded in the year 1962. It has been identified as the best library in the purview of Acharya Nagarjuna University in 2009. Books of UG and PG sections are arranged in two separate buildings.
The library has a collection of 90000 books, 95 journals both National and International and 48 magazines. It has a good collection of CDs and DVD’s. Dewey decimal classification system is followed for the arrangement of books. 72.
Provide direction and vision to the library and information resources and services through a continuous, collaborative planning and assessment process that addresses the college’s instructional and programmatic needs.

Dr. Rani Syamalamba, librarian has attended many seminars and workshops and presented papers. She has published articles in many national and international journals. Well qualified and trained staff intereste in the implementation of new technologies contributes to a professional functioning of the library.
A well furnished Research Centre for literature and economics under the able guidance of senior staff and research scholars, both part time and full time have a ready access to it.
The entire library collection is computerized and the computerized catalogue is made available for staff and students (OPAC) in the intranet. Barcode technology is implemented since 2006 in the circulation counter. Stock verification is done every year with stock verification barcode scanner.
The open access system facility is available for inter, degree and PG students .
Book Bank facility:
Book bank facility is available for the economically backward students. They can borrow two extra books each semester.
Staff andStudents can access more than 2000 e-journals and 5000 e-books under the programme of INFLIBNET. A link is also provided in the library website for free e-resources and e-journals
As part of digitization, all the old question papers under the autonomy and also content pages of important journals (access in OPAC) have been digitized for easy retrieval of information for staff and students.
Information literacy programmes:
Information literacy programmes are developed with power point presentations for staff and students for better usage of library services, new technologies like e-books and e-journals access.
CC Cameras are installed in the library for security purpose
