The department was established in 1962. To guide and lead the students in acquiring basic and advanced knowledge of chemistry to aspire for job and to pursue higher education.
Social work is a professional course where young graduates can get employability in Non government organizations and other welfare organisations. Social Work has also much scope for employability in the government and in the private sector. Students who have completed their UG course have gone for higher studies and taken up careers in different fields. Many stdents are working in national and international agencies, medical and psychiatric settings and educational institutions. Many of our old students are well placed in different countries and contributing to the development of the people.
To develop competent, qualified, professional social workers.
Students will acquire theoretical knowledge through the course curriculum and technical emphasis will equip them to enter the work space through practical sessions and certificate course programme.
The department offers courses in Chemistry to the students of B. Sc - MPC, CBZ and Biotech.
It is also offering a need based Certificate course “Instrumental Methods of Analysis in Chemistry” for the students of II & III B.Sc – MPC, CBZ and Biotech in collaboration with RV Labs, Guntur.
Specially designed elective papers for final year students are being offered which are beneficial to get into higher education as well as to enhance the job opportunities at UG level itself.
