The Department of Business Administration was started in the year 2004 with an aim of grooming future women managers and entrepreneurs. The department conducts a two-year full time MBA programme approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi, affiliated to Krishna University, Machilipatnam. The department achieves 100% result every year with 10% of students at O grade, 80% of students at A grade and 10% at B grade. The department has strong alumni placed in reputed organizations in various parts of the country.

The Department is well equipped with large lecture halls, conference halls, library and computer lab.
The Department has spacious lecture halls with provision for fresh air and good lighting. The instructional process is enhanced with regular use of audio-visual aids like smart classes visualizer, LCD Projector, etc.
The Library provides ‘Online Public Access Catalog (OPAC) system that enables students to have immediate access to the book they want to borrow. Overnight issues are encouraged. Besides, it has a Competitive Examination Cell which assists students in their career point of view. The library has been adjudged the ‘BEST’ among the affiliated colleges of Acharya Nagarjuna University in the ‘Library’ category.
The computer lab is equipped with advanced computers having latest software. The students are encouraged to make extensive use of the computers and to have access to Internet that enhances their knowledge.

Prepares Placement Brochure with particulars of students.

Training on Resume Preparation, Placement Counseling, etc.
Secures placements to the registered students.

ACADEMIC ACTIVITIES IN THE YEAR 2015-2016
GUEST LECTURES AND WORKSHOPS
On 17th August 2015, the department had organized for a one-day workshop on “Entreprenuership Orientation Programme” for final year B.Com,BBM & M.Com students. The workshop was delivered by Mr.G.Sudarshan,Executive,National Small Industries Corporation(NSIC), Hyderabad. About 110 students had participated in the workshop which was coordinated by Mrs.Sundari,HOD and Assistant Professors Mrs.Malathi & Mrs.Sarvani.
From 12th September to 18th September 2015, a one -week workshop on Personality Development was conducted in arrangement with the Ministry of Youth Affairs.There were 20 MBA students and it was coordinated by Mrs.Sundari,HOD & Assistant Professor Mrs.Kanaka Durga.
On 16th October 2015 the department had organized for guest lecture “SAP Orientation Programmme-Career Opportunities”.The lecture was delivered by Mr.Bhanu Prakash,CEO,Kautilya Consultancies Pvt.Ltd.Hyderabad.The coordinators for this lecture were Mrs.Sundari(HOD), & Assistant Profeesors Mrs.Malathi & Mrs.Sarvani.

Again on 17th October 2015 another guest lecture “Personality Development & Motivation” was conducted. Mr.J.Lakshmikanth,CEO,Winnerve,Machilipatnam addressed 115 students of MBA &MCom. The lecture was coordinated by Mrs. Sundari(HOD), Assistant Professors Mrs.Kanaka Durga & Mrs.B.Latha. The final guest lecture for the year was held on 21st March 2016 on “Goal Setting” addressed by Mr.ARK Chowdary,MD,Harsha Liners, Vijayawada. All the MBA students had attended it and it was coordinated by Mrs.Sundari,HOD and Assistant Professor Mrs.Sarvani.
SAMANVAY – 2016
The Department of Business Administration organised ‘Samanvay 2016’,a one-day State Level Management Meet on 29th February 2016.The events of the day were Business Quiz, Market Makers, Young Manager, Antyakshari and Mr.&Miss Samanvay. 27 Colleges across the State participated in the event.
INTER COLLEGIATE COMPETITIONS
The students of MBA First n Second Year had participated in various management meets organized by different B-Schools and won prizes in Business Quiz ,Stock Game and Treasure Hunt events.
